Mamma Mia to Undergo the Biggest Cast Change in its History

Mamma Mia running at the Novello Theatre London is to undergo the biggest cast change this June ever since the musical made its West End debut in 1999. 24 of the existing 33 member cast will be replaced on 10th June 2013.

Donna Sheridan will be played by Dianne Pilkington whose latest West End credits include Master Class at the Vaudeville Theatre, The 39 Steps at the Criterion and Galinda in Wicked that she has been portraying for past three years that is running at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Prior to this, she has also played Amalia in She Loves Me by the Chichester Festival Theatre production. She also made appearance in Tom Hooper’s film Les Miserables.

From 10th June onwards, the cast will also be joined by Jane Milligan who will portray Rosie, Richard Trinder as Sam, Emma Crossley as Sophie Sheridan, Oliver Tilney playing Sky, Ali by Jessica Daley, Lisa as Stephine Clift, Pepper as Dickie Wood while Eddie will be played by Dan Krikler. Tanya will continue to be portrayed by Kim Ismay, Harry Bright as Neil Roberts and Bill Austin by James Gaddas. Claire Poyzer however will play Donna Sheridan on certain performances.

Mamma Mia London has made its West End debut at the Prince Edward Theatre on 6th April 1999. After enjoying five years of spectacular run, the musical was transferred to the Prince of Wales Theater. Following eight years of outstanding run, the musical re-opened at the Novello Theatre on 6th April 1999. The show continues its spell binding run after recently celebrating its 14th birthday at the venue.
